David de Kretser
David is the Managing Director of the company and has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, the majority of which has been within the independent sector.
Having initially worked for Scottish Equitable for 6 years he became an Independent Financial Adviser in 1995.
After 5 years working within a national IFA practice, David joined a specialist Wealth Management business to focus on working with High Net Worth private clients.
David founded Allwin in 2002 and is constantly driving the business forward, adapting to the ever changing landscape of the Financial Services industry.
David adopts as hands-on approach when working with clients, maintaining strong long term personal relationships.
David is a member of The Personal Finance Society, The Chartered Insurance Institute and The Enterprise Investment Scheme Association.
David is the devoted father of 4 children.
Derek is a Director of the company and has been working in the financial services industry since graduating in Business Economics in 1999.
Having initially worked as a Pensions Specialist at Sun Life Financial of Canada , then as a Financial Adviser for Friends Provident, Derek joined Allwin in 2003.
Derek is an integral part of the company and has a wide knowledge of all aspects of the business. He is a friendly, accountable and professional member of the team.
Derek is a member of The Chartered Insurance Institute.
Derek is married and has three children.
Madeleine is our Office Manager so heads up the administration side of the company, from maintaining our back-office systems and project managing, through to preparing reports and reconciling payments.
Having known David for many years, Madeleine joined Allwin in 2004 from a strong client-focused background in travel and international publishing rights, dealing with the complex and varied needs of publishers and distributors from all four corners of the globe.
She has an eye for detail and often acts as the central reference point in the company for any general queries.
Madeleine is married with 2 children.
Petro works as a 'para-planner' for Allwin. She is a Law graduate and joined Allwin in 2015 from a very client-focused background.
Petro is a bright, friendly person who thrives on delivering excellent service to our clients.
She is currently studying for the 'Diploma in Financial Planning'.
Vicky is the company's Personal Tax Advisor and has been advising High Net Worth Individual clients for over 20 years.
Having initially started her Institute of Chartered Accountancy training with Arthur Andersen, she completed her examinations with KPMG where she spent 14 years rising to the level of Senior Manager in the Personal Taxation department.
Since leaving KPMG, Vicky worked for Baker Tilly before joining Allwin in 2009.
Vicky offers a specialist personalised service to High Net Worth Individuals, including the preparation of Tax Returns and Personal Taxation advice in the areas of capital gains, inheritance and expatriate taxation. She enjoys building long-term relationships with all her clients and thrives on providing a personal professional service.
With over 20 years' experience in the financial services industry with Scottish Amicable, Norwich Union and Royal London, Sarah joined Allwin’s Administration team in 2017.
Sarah is a diligent member of the team who always looks to achieve the highest standards in all aspects of her role.
Sarah passed her Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice in 2018 and is currently working towards the Diploma for Financial Advisers.
Sarah lives with her partner and their son.
Ben came to do some work experience after his A-Levels in the summer of 2016 – and is still with us!
His likeable personality, along with a hard-working 'can do' attitude led him to become a permanent member of the administration team.
Ben passed his Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice in 2018 and is currently working towards the Diploma for Financial Advisers.
